All In The Game
02:45
|
|||
The inevitability is clear to see, competition in life is obligatory
One in two thousand turtles will grow old,
It’s all the game no shame, life is bold.
The preachers preaching, the dealers dealing, ain’t nothing but a good time that they’re reeling
Some will always follow while others will lead
It’s all in the game no shame, life proceed.
There’s loss and there’s game, it’s all much the same, a journey’s just a distance measured,
Life is the same, live by the day, love by the ton
It’s all in the game no shame, life’s begun.

Treasure Hunt

I could be half way to a miracle, I could be one step from my grave
I could be dreaming of the future, but I should be living today
For, it’s always now, and I’ve got to be here somehow.
I could be planning an adventure, or I could live one today
I could be bold tomorrow, but better to be bold today
For, it’s always now, and I’ve got to be here somehow
I could have one eye, on the future but the most important time is always now.

Golden Mean

It’s the war and the peace, the love and the hate, the up and the down, and the give and the take
It’s the ease and the clam the rise and the fall, all of these things or none at all.
It’s the seed and the fruit, the quark and the star, the here and the not and the near and the far
It’s the present and past, the dream and awake, the birth and the death and the truth and the fake.

Vegetarian Fingers
02:53
|
|||
I’m heavy gauge full fat and weight, I push and pull to bend the strings I make a sweat
I work hard playing heavy gauge, carnivore fingers can even handle on the stage.
You’re light weight, semi skimmed and thin, you play an easy bend you never break a string
Vegetarian fingers don’t know the pain I know
I’m a freak for that meat, it’s the only thing that I like to eat
I break strings like they’re going out of fashion, strike up the band, vanilla nova junction
You keep trim on your greens, bend with the wind just like Bruce Lee,
I could learn a thing or two from your ways, vegetarian fingers sure can play.

Possibly Everything

Sit beside me and sing me a song, I don’t care which one that you hum,
All I ask is that you sing it true, I know well that nothing is new
How I hope that we can go on, in our own way we’ll follow the sun,
Bound together we play along, we’re the reason they hear the song.

Inspired Bird
05:18
|
|||
You’ll never, never, never be as young as you are tonight
You’ll never, never know your beauty till it fades from sight
The hours getting late by the second my friend
An injured bird told us of our ways to mend
You’ll never, never, know your happiness until it’s gone
You’ll never, never, know your voice till you sang on the song
The leaves are falling down to the ground my friend
An injured bird told us of our ways to mend
You can’t plough a field in your mind I read
And work will fill the time for which it’s set
You’ll never, never know your limit until you break
You’ll never, never know your chances until you take
The hours getting late by the second my friend
An injured bird told us of our ways to mend
I try to sing it but maybe that won’t do it for you
I’ve got a heartbeat and to myself I must be true.

Elvis Gravy
03:39
|
|||
I could give you my word I could give you a call
I could give you my coat when the weather is cold
But you’d still keep breaking my heart
Won’t you save me, Elvis Gravy?
If I wrote you a song you would laugh at the verse
Whistle the tune in the back of a hearse
You’d still keep breaking my heart
Won’t you save me, Elvis Gravy?
If we sailed the sea, we’d fall off the boat
Our lifeboat of love wouldn’t keep us afloat
Won’t you save me, Elvis Gravy?

A friend is what I’ve got, a friend you know they mean a lot
A friend is what I’ve got, a friend is what I’ve got
You can bare you soul to this heart of gold
Tell each other straight and you won’t go cold
A friend is what I’ve got a friend is what I’ve got
Sonny said to bear in mind, that a good friend is hard to find
A friend is what I’ve got, a friend is what I’ve got
A friend can share your life, a friend can share your strife,
A friend can share your life, but can’t share your wife
You can bare you soul to this heart of gold
Tell each other straight and you won’t go cold
A friend is what I’ve got a friend is what I’ve got
Sonny said to bear in mind, that a good friend is hard to find
A friend is what I’ve got, a friend is what I’ve got.

Happy as a Tambourine
03:05
|
|||
My life’s better than it’s ever been, yes, I’m as happy as a tambourine
Got sunshine flowing though my veins, in my mind a smile is framed
I’ve followed my feelings, my convictions about sound
It’s led me to this in which my happiness abounds
My life’s better than it’s ever been, yes, I’m as happy as a tambourine
Got sunshine flowing though my veins, in my mind a smile is framed
My heartbeat is music, a bird song on the breeze
Fractal rhythms echo across the universe, and I hear distant melodies
I take it all, I fill my boots, but happiness is not something that you can rob or loot
My life’s better than it’s ever been, yes, I’m as happy as a tambourine
Got sunshine flowing though my veins, in my mind a smile is framed.

Darts Band
03:53
|

Jade javelin Bowman, a Gibson 335 he plays,
a howling roar and sweeter tone in this town was never played
Jason clusterbomb Allum, he’s the youngest of the band,
A deft touch, beyond his years, he’s a real steady hand
James evolution Pheasant, he’s the bass man through and through
He’s got music flowing though his viens, he’s got peace and love for you
I’m balderdash Chris Hull, I’m the singer for my sin’s
Strum guitar, play harmonica and I’m ready when the band begins
The year we met was 99 and the path was then unknown
We were young but not quite squeaky clean, our darts were not yet thrown
We fell in to a team and started to score high, the road stretched out on we went and the years they rolled on by
We played our hands in many bands, but this one seems to last
THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE THIS DARTS TEAM BAND, WILL NOT BE SURPASSED!
We stepped up to the okky a hundred time or more, we always win our score gets higher
But still we’re wanting more.
Jade javelin Bowman, with a wit that’s razor sharp
He can cut it on guitar and now he plays blues harp
Jason clusterbomb Allum, plays the drums with skill and flair
When not drumming with the band, he’s a mile high in the air
James evolution Pheasant, plays that Fender P Bass
With the thunder rumbling raw melody you see the passion when he plays
I’m balderdash Chris Hull and the pleasure is all mine
To play with these fine gentlemen, really blows my mind.

She could be 19, she could be 33, she’s a woman, and that’s what she’ll be
She could change her mind, at the drop of a hat, she’s a woman, you can depend on that
She’ll tantalise, with a single kiss, grant anything, that you could wish,
She could change her mind, at the drop of a hat, she’s a woman, you can depend on that.
